Unleash Gratitude is made possible by its membership fees. We maintain a strict policy against receiving any revenue from advertisers, the Ug Faculty or anyone else we may promote. This assures Ug Members of the integrity and value of the resources that we provide or promote.

Giving

The nature of the Ug Community is contribution and this extends into the financial realm as well. Every year the Ug Community contributes money to great causes in a number of ways. This giving will be guided by the Community in a fun and inspiring way.

Growing

The future of Ug is bright. We already have a long list of upgrades and development projects waiting in the wings and it keeps getting longer as more members submit their ideas and desires.

Ug Members will have the opportunity to direct the development focus via the Gratitude Lab section in the Members Area and will also be able to be intimately involved in the design and development process of each project if they so choose.

The Stewards

Unleash Gratitude Inc. is the steward of the Ug Community and was founded by Grant Rawcliffe and Katharina von Hugo with the help of an Angel Investor.

Grant was born in New Zealand and immigrated to Canada after marrying Katharina. He trained as a Mechanical Engineer and enjoyed much success managing engineering projects before choosing to follow his entrepreneurial spirit.

Grant's passions include entrepreneurship, social business entrepreneurship, kids, being a great husband and papa, dream fulfillment and of course, Gratitude. The conduit for a continuous stream of ideas, Grant is the dreamer, the believer and the spark behind Ug.

Grounding Grant in love, family and business is Katharina. A Canadian native, Katharina is internationally connected with a German heritage and a love for Grant's homeland of New Zealand. After a successful career as a project manager in the Telecommunications industry she too caught the entrepreneurial bug.

Her passions lie in connecting with our planet, community contribution, filling the lives of her husband and kids with love and laughter and enriching the world. You can liken Katharina to an alarm clock who is committed to waking up humanity. Katharina is the visionary, always clarifying the big picture. She takes the sparks produced by Grant and fans them into flames. She is the engine and driver behind Ug.

Respected in her community as a highly experienced, effective and conscientious leader of high tech companies, our Angel Investor's wealth of business experience is surpassed only by her spirit of generosity. She leads by example and by inspiration and operates with the highest integrity and for the highest good.

Her passions include the finer things in life - beautiful flowers, beautiful art, great food, great wine, a wonderful husband and wonderful kids. She is one of those people that on her death bed will look up with a great big grin and say "What a ride!".

A magician with numbers, a guiding light through legal matters and a planner extraordinaire she truly is the fuel behind Ug.

The Birth of Ug

Unleash Gratitude was born one Easter weekend in the creative juices of Grant's ever active brain. He was grappling with the concept of how to effectively appreciate someone for service that went beyond the ordinary.

His young infant son was having night time belly aches and Grant had rushed off to the pharmacy at 2am in hopes of finding something that would soothe the problem and allow everyone to get some much needed sleep.

He was tired and dare we say it, a bit grumpy. The woman who served him was kind, understanding and very generous in her service. He thanked her and left the store wondering how he could have better let her know what a difference she had just made in his life. Giving her money seemed inappropriate and hugging her might have been misconstrued.

This is where the concept of Ug Cards was born and it fit beautifully with Grant's focus on Gratitude.

For the next twelve months Unleash Gratitude became the love child of Grant and Katharina. The idea of providing whole brain training through structures that are diverse and fun became their passion. It is their sincere hope that these services provide inspiration and support to many and offer a contribution toward the greater good of the planet.
